# Cardano Blockchain

With a scientific approach and methodological progression, Cardano sets itself apart from Ethereum and similar programmable cryptocurrency platforms.

Thanks to the consensus "Proof of Stake" mechanism used, the Cardano network is also less energy-intensive than some comparable blockchains.

Furthermore, we have been impressed by the Cardano projects in Africa and the use of blockchain technology in these countries.

These important factors have led the HashGuardians team to choose to utilize and support the Cardano blockchain. It is the foundation of the HashGuardians Universe.

Due to the low mint costs and the possibility of performing numerous transactions rapidly in a single block, Cardano is ideal for blockchain gaming.

The development of Cardano smarts contracts, the growing network of supporters, and the expanding NFT economy on Cardano made it a clear choice to be our blockchain of operation.

Thank you for reading our whitepaper, and we look forward to meeting you in the HashGuardians Universe!

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://hashguardians-2.gitbook.io/whitepaper/directory/cardano-blockchain.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
